Royal Dublin

One of the oldest links in Ireland, founded in 1885, Royal Dublin is a classic out-and-back links layout in a unique location on an island preserve in Dublin City. H.S. Colt rebuilt the course after it suffered heavy damage in the First World War which lead to a multitude of championships like the Irish Open won by the likes of Seve Ballesteros and Bernard Langer. Martin Hawtree’s redevelopment opened in 2006 as a formidable 7,269 yard test highlighted by “Hogan’s”, the par-four 15th that appears straightforward enough unless you find the left rough and under club your approach.
