Lugano Golf Club, set above Lake Maggiore just 10 minutes away from the Italian-speaking southern Swiss City of Lugano. Founded in 1923 from a design drawn up by the architect Donald Harradine. However, since 1992 the course has undergone some fairly extensive modifications by designer Cabell B. Robinson. It features a river running through the course that been effortlessly incorporated into the layout and a number of interesting holes with doglegs or various lengths. Tall Birch Trees, Oaks, Spruces and Azaleas thrive in harmony and Rhododendrons with their striking colours make a wonderful contrast to the manicured greens.
